A start was made early in 2007 on Jupp Court, a small rural development of houses and flats which will provide homes for people with a local connection to Higham Parish. The previously unused land in lower School Lane, Higham now has nine homes for rent and shared-ownership.
A formal launch ceremony was held on Thursday 10th April 2008 where representatives of all project agencies and partners met together on-site. To celebrate the completion of the homes, the formal ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out by Mrs Pat Jupp, widow of the late Parish and Borough Councillor Colin Jupp, after whom the development has been named.
